Implementation

ERP implementations can be intensive projects for teams to undertake, given that ERP touches all parts of a business. Managed well, it’ll be a key process that not only provides you with suitable technology for your next stage of business but helps you audit your business and refine processes.

That’s where we come in;

It’s like trying to build a house without a builder or fix a car without a mechanic, you can probably do it, but it’ll take a lot longer, and will put a lot more unnecessary strain on the business to get it done.

By having a great implementation partner to assist you with your setup, you can be sure you’re getting the most up-to-date practices, along with all the technical knowledge you’ll need to get the job done, so you won’t have to google your way into the matrix.

Our process

Whether the implementation is functional out-of-the-box (OOB) or the more complex process that requires phased roll-outs, we can help. A carefully designed implementation plan is critical to the project’s success. Our solution delivery framework goes through several phases:

  1. Discovery – We work together to define the need, vision and scope of the project. We will recommend a system that’s fit for your purpose. The discovery phase is the ideal time to select your project team. Your team can include people from the executive management, representatives from each department that will use the system and your project manager who will act as your ERP champion.
  2. Planning & Monitoring – This is the strategy development phase of implementation where we talk about proposed delivery timelines and set the expectations for the project so we can monitor progress as we go along.
  3. Analysis – We gather the detailed requirements for the project, this is a more comprehensive level of discovery. At this point, we will need detailed documentation of existing workflows to focus on system development.
  4. Design & Development – This process involves carrying out tasks such as designing the ERP or creating more efficient workflows. We may conduct a gap analysis to identify process intricacies that require customisation.  For OOB implementations, we can start installing the software and migrating your data over to the new system.
  5. Stabilise – Ensures that the implementation meets the client’s requirements and is ready for deployment. Rigorous testing follows to determine the full capabilities of the system. This is the best time to configure your users and processes so they are ready to use the system once it goes live, which means end-user training starts here.
  6. Deploy – When everything is ready, the solution will be deployed to a production environment. There will be many moving parts and potential issues and confused users, we are ready to help users adapt to the new system.
  7. Post-deployment support – We have processes in place to support the client once they are live, which may include troubleshooting and adjusting the system accordingly. This is the final stage of the process and once completed, it will result in project closure.

Our experience

The best implementation experiences are based on a strong mutual understanding of where we’re both headed – and who we’re travelling with. Our implementations are absolutely unique; and they start before we even get to work with joint kick-off events where our teams spend time together to understand who we’re working with.

If you have any questions about a particular product why don’t you book a time here and talk to one of our experts. We provide a free consultation, some initial pricing information and can share our examples of success with you.
